Real Time image captures of developed Lumion model
A large proportion of the exteriors contain windows in which many of them cover over half the wall. The transparency of the window breaks the barrier between a room and the environment, effectively allowing the window to be essentially a part of the surroundings.
As seen in with the computers in the computer laboratory and the staff rooms in the office level, it can be seen that the way elements are grouped can also determine the amount of free space is available. By grouping in lines and against walls, it creates wider pathways which improves the circulation around a room, making the person's experience with it more enjoyable and as tranquil as a natural environment.
Similarly, the arrangement in the lecture theatre also produce functional space. As all the seats are in the back half of the room, the entire front half, which is occupied by one person, is planned openly to have sufficient room for any demonstration when necessary.
The mezzanine level allows the library to carry additional books despite the small area. This level also extends the floor plan to the gallery, showcasing major works by the students. Being such an open space, the gallery can display artworks and sculptures of unique shapes that can direct light in numerous ways.
The purpose of open planning is to improve circulation around areas. The open patio area outside level 2 is sufficiently wide enough accommodate a bridge to link the proposed building to the Squarehouse. This assists with circulation so people can travel between the buildings without the need of leaving one altogether.
Incorporation of textures
Texture 1 - Linear
This texture has been applied to the top level deck area. It's effect is that while it is a large space, the direction of the textures help guide people easily towards the bridge to cross the road. This is essential as without the bridge to NIDA, people would be forced to exit the building completely and walk around to the main entrance in order to cross the round thus saving commute time.
Texture 2 - Vibrational
The workshop is an area where heavy machinery are used. These cause many vibrations which can be felt in the workshop. In resemblence to how an open plan draws light into from the natural light surroundings, the walls mimic the vibrations of a machine to limit, drawing them away from people thus maximising their experiences in the workshop.
Texture 3 - Rotational
The second floor contains an open plan. The elevator can be considered as the central element in the level. Each rotating arm in this texture on the floor leads to an element on the floor (library, meeting room, cafe. toilet and open deck areas). Hence light from different angles can meet at a single point. The colour of this texture has been faded which ensures there is no clash with the open circulation of this floor space.
Moving Elements
Moving Element One - Sun Roof
This sun roof is placed above the patio to protect from the harsh UV rays of the sun or the drenching rain.
Moving Element Two - Blinds
This blinds are located in level one space between the lecture theatre and studios. It's purpose is to vary the amount of light on the space.Draft Plan and Model
The model is to be connected to both the Squarehouse as well as the NIDA building across the road:

Experiment 2 Final Submission
Images of Final Model in Lumion
The light rail stop will be above ground. In comparison to the original electroliquid aggregation, the curvilinear amalgamation has been rotated 90 degrees to produce two tunnels. Both amalgamations have been scaled in order to appropriately accommodate the tram, the waiting areas as well as the allowing cars to still drive through.

The 'blank canvas' also divides the road so that cars can still drive through Anzac Parade. Thus both modes of transport can be accommodated without completely removing the existing road.
Adolf Loos: "A blank canvas can be more"
A blank wall is placed on the side furthest from the main entrance. This 'blank canvas also acts as a supporting beam for both sides - the platform on the inside and the stair and elevator on the outside.
Rural Studio: "Establishing the ethos of recycling, reusing and remaking"
The tunnel is reusing old PVC rainwater tanks which are cut and joined together. By recycling the tanks, it demonstrates sustainability, preventing more non-biodegradable waste from entering the habitable environments

Final two concepts and theme
Rural Studio: "Establishing the ethos of recycling, reusing and remaking"
The environment has over time been subject to increased greenhouse gas emissions leading to global warming due to the production of waste. For the reason the light rail stop has the purpose to highlight the theme of sustainability. It consists of recycled materials, notably the tunnel which is reusing old water tanks, cutting then joining them together to make a unique tunnel shape. As the Rural Studio state, recycling and reusing are essential factors to reduce the waste emission into the environment..
Adolf Loos: "A blank canvas can be more"
The 'blank canvas' of the light rail structure a large wall on the side furthest away from the UNSW Main Entrance. It has two purposes - one is to support the surrounding objects, notably the platform and the elevator and stairs. The other purpose is to divide the road to retain a lane which other vehicles can drive through.
One consideration when designing a light rail stop outside the university was whether to clear any existing structures to accommodate the light rail. However, land clearing has been shown to destroy habitats and increase carbon emissions and reducing sustainability on the land. Loos' concept and thus be effectively applied into the light rail stop to high light sustainability.
